Project Statement
Incorporating user-friendly software and a USB-connected interface, the Pike Light utilizes motorized light fixtures and high-output red-green-blue (RGB) LEDs to create dynamic, multicolored light shows.
The Pike Light consists of three parts: computer software, a computer interface, and light fixtures. The computer software allows users to create a light show that is tailored to their desire. The software permits the consumer to control the movement, color, and intensity of each individual light fixture. It transmits these commands through a computer interface to the light fixture using the industry-standard language known as DMX-512 protocol, allowing the light fixture to be compatible with any device utilizing this protocol. The light fixture produces over 16 million colors, rotates 360° under 3 seconds, tilts 180° under 2. Also, this fixture is lightweight and easy to mount, making it marketable to amateurs. These capabilities make the Pike Light an efficient, economical alternative to similar professional systems.
