Project Abstract

Our group proposes to redesign a prototype switching power supply that was originally built by Mississippi Power of Meridian, Mississippi.  The power supply will be able to accept 80 to 310VAC and output 13.5VDC.  The original prototype is noisy under load conditions and has transient voltage spikes when a load is applied or withdrawn.  The idea behind redesigning the power supply is to eliminate the noise or decrease the noise sufficiently.
