We intend to design a torus
shaped rack to hold CDs. There will be a servo based turret in the center of
the torus that will turn the outer casing. The case will have a slit for the
removal of the CDs. The turret will be controlled by a microcontroller which
will accept power by an external dc adaptor, and be driven by an RS232
interface. Users will select CDs for entry or removal via a graphical
interface from an external computer. This project will entail the design and
implementation of the device and the graphical interface for the CD
selection system.
