Digital Type II Climate Control System
The Digital Automatic Climate Control System (DACC System) is designed to replace the notably unreliable and expensive OEM Servo and OEM Amplifier in the Type II ACC. The new system replaces all of the analog circuitry and monolithic Servo design with reliable modern digital circuitry and discrete control modules for each function of the system. The DACC System consists of easily purchased off-the-shelf industrial components and can be assembled in a standard at-home garage.
Features
Drop In Replacement
  • Replaces the Type II module in all 107, 116, and 123 chassis Mercedes-Benz automobiles
  • Maintains factory dash controls
  • Minimal modification to existing system
·Servo Replacement Benefits
  • Monolithic OEM Servo design replaced by discrete components
  • Discrete components constructed from off the shelf components
  • Design eliminates system breakdown when components fail
  • Coolant regulation uses a simple and reliable valve that is not prone to cracking, leaking, or getting stuck
Amplifier Replacement Benefits
  • Amplifier replaced by digital microcontroller system
  • New control system handles, without damage, the currents present if a component fails
Infinitely Variable Blower Control
  • Blower motor is no longer limited to 5 speeds
  • Infinitely variable blower speed from 0 to 100 percent
  • Allows for a more exact speed to be selected, which increases comfort and decreases noise
System Cost
  • The cost of the system is less than either OEM replacement or remanufactured units
