Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Mississippi State University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. All ranks will be considered with an endowed chair available to qualified candidates. An earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field and a clear potential for gaining national prominence through funded research and teaching are required. MSU supports the success of new faculty hires via competitive start-up packages and comprehensive faculty development programs. Applicants are sought in (1) Electric Power and High-Voltage Engineering and (2) Signal/Image Processing and Communications. Outstanding candidates in other areas will also be considered.

Mississippi State University is a comprehensive land-grant institution with approximately 18,000 students and awards more than 3,000 degrees each year. The National Science Foundation currently ranks the department as 36th among the more than 300 U.S. ECE departments in external research expenditures. The university is located in Starkville, a vibrant community located in northeast Mississippi.
