Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Mississippi State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Electrical and Computer Engineering in Power/High Voltage, Smart Grid, Signal/Image Processing, and other related areas. All ranks will be considered with an Endowed Chair/Professorship available to qualified candidates. An earned doctorate in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field is required. The successful candidate is expected to have a clear potential for gaining national prominence through funded research and teaching and the ability to work in a diverse community.
Mississippi State University, a Carnegie Foundation Very High Research University, is a comprehensive land-grant institution with more than 20,000 students and nearly 1,300 full-time faculty members. The ECE Department has an approximate enrollment of over 400 undergraduate students and 100 graduate students with 70 being at the Ph.D. level. The department is ranked in the top 12% nationally in research expenditures by the National Science Foundation.
