Access Rules

Access Policy
Access Guide

Instructions for starting a semester

At the beginning of each semester, determine the date of the first day of classes for the next semester. That will be the end of access date for all activities.

Use Banner's Class Roster for every section of the following classes to find the ID numbers of the students in that section.

For each section, use the AS400 interface to telecommunications' computer and, for each student, set Access Class to "D" and End Effective date to the end of access date determined earlier.

These Labs get access to these rooms:

ECE 3424 to 202 Simrall.

ECE 3434 to 323 Simrall.

ECE 3724 to 329 Simrall.

ECE 4743 to 132 Simrall (coded 135 at present). [Note: all ECE students are automatically given access to 132 and the PC Lab every semester.]

All Senior Design Students (ECE 4512, 4522, 4532, and 4542) to 311 Simrall and 206 Simrall.

ECE 4263 and 4723 (if taught) to 329 Simrall.

Note: If a non-ECE major takes one of these labs, he or she should also be given access to the two outside doors.

Note: If there are classes or labs (including non-ECE) taught that begin after 5:00 pm, those students should be given access to the South Entrance to Simrall.

Note: All RA's need to be given new access (class "C") to their labs/offices each semester.

Note: All TA's need to be given access (class "C") to their labs each semester.

Note: The Robotics Team(s) gets access to 427, but a Senior Design or Robotics professor needs to notify us who these students are.
