ECE Professors Visit DTI as Part of Program Assessment & Outreach

On May 13th, eight ECE faculty members spent the day learning more about DTI's advanced product line of single board computers and exploring educational opportunities. Steve Given, VP of Engineering (left), discusses DTI product development with ECE faculty members representing, VLSI, embedded systems, digital system design, IC testing, electromagnetic compatibility, and power areas. Justin Davis, Ray Winton, Pat Donohoe, Jane Moorhead, Jim Harden, Stan Grzybowski, and Bob Reese, and J.W. Bruce of ECE were given a corporate overview by Barrie McArthur, President of DTI; Jeff Johnson, VP of New Business Development; and a DTI Tour by Steve Shepard, VP of Operations.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering assesses its programs on a continuing basis. Employers are a constituent of the ECE program that communicate industry trends and help define educational objectives. The site visits also provide feedback on our recent graduates and how well the department is doing in achieving its program objectives. This information is used to initiate actions directed at continuous program improvement.
