New Advisory Board Members Announced

Mississippi State University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is pleased to announce the newest members of the Advisory Board for 2005; Sarah A. Rajala, Albert J. Williams, Wade C. Patterson, Dave Burns, Terry Kemp, David J. Dodd, Glenn H. Isom, and Anthony L. Wilson. These eight new faces will offer innovative perspectives and ideas to the board that are essential to the future of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Program.

Dr. Sarah A. Rajala

Dr. Sarah Rajala currently serves as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and as the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs for the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University. She is a member of IEEE, ASEE, SWE, and Sigma Xi.

Mr. Al Williams

Al Williams is currently employed as the Finance Manager for ChevronTexico Pascagoula Refinery. He is a proud Mississippi State University graduate, and boasts working on oil sales projects for companies located in countries like Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine.

Mr. Wade Patterson

Wade Patterson is currently the founder and president of Synapse, a supplier of smart electronic control technology for appliances as founder and CEO of Intergraph Corporation's worldwide computer workstation businesses.

Mr. Dave Burns

Dave Burns is currently a senior staff electrical engineer with Shell Exploration and Production Company and holds the position of Electrical Technical Authority for EP Western Region. Burns is also a member of API, IEEE, and ISA.

Mr. Terry Kemp

Terry Kemp is the General Manager of Customer Service for TVA's Mississippi District. He, along with his staff, coordinates business services for twenty-eight municipal and cooperatively owned power companies in thirty-five Mississippi counties.

Mr. David Dodd

David Dodd is employed with ADTRAN as the Director of Systems Engineering and Training. At ADTRAN Dodd has held a number of positions such as Applications Engineer, Manager of Applications Engineering, Director of Applications Engineering, Training, and Technical Publications since 1995.

Mr. Glenn Isom

Glenn Isom is currently employed with Entergy Corporation as the Area Design Manager for the northern portion of Entergy's Mississippi service area. Isom also serves as a student recruiter to Mississippi schools for Entergy.

Mr. Anthony Wilson

Anthony Wilson is currently serving Georgia Power Company as the Manager Marketing Regulatory Affairs. Wilson is also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, United Way of East Mississippi, and Big Brothers, Bi Sisters Mentorship Program Region Sponsor.
