Mississippi State University High Voltage Laboratory and Dr. Stan Grzybowski, Director of the HVL, were honored by a visit from four Chinese professors who are highly renowned in high voltage engineering research. Dr. Zhicheng Guan serves as Tsinghua University’s Dean of Graduate School, president of the China Electrotechnical Society, and Vice-President of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. Dr. Lijian Ding serves as the Vice-Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of High Voltage Engineering and EMC at the North China Electric Power University in Beijing. Dr. Zhidong Jia from Tsinghua University in Beijing and Dr. Wei Wang from the North China Electric Power University in Beijing were also among the honored guests. The guests were in the US to attend the IEEE Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena (CEIDP/05) in Nashville, TN.

Dr. Grzybowski and Dr. Jian Li, a visiting professor at MSU and the director of High Voltage and Insulation Technology Department at Chongqing University in China, had the pleasure of enlightening the visitors about the exciting research taking place in the HVL at MSU. The six discussed the future development and cooperation of the four represented universities in the field of high voltage engineering.
