Please send me a list of times during which you will NOT be available. As soon as I get this info., we can determine when we will meet each time there is a lab meeting. As a result, it doesn't appear possible to set up a time for a lab meeting this week. So, we will have a lecture on Friday, and try to get things set up to begin lab next week instead. At this time, it appears that the lab will have to meet either on Mondays or Fridays, starting at either 1:00 or 2:00. Be sure to let me know if you have a conflict with either of these days or times. (Do you have a conflict at any time after 1:00 on Monday or Friday?) Labs will ordinarily meet for between 2 and 3 hours, with a full 3 hours being fairly rare. Also, remember that we will meet in S-327 at 1:00 for the Lab. I will have printouts of the procedure sheets for you at that time, and will give a fairly short description of the equipment we will be using before we get started. Please be on time, so that you don't miss any of it. Randy Follett ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randolph F. Follett, Ph.D., P.E. If you look at the transfer function, as we discussed in class today, there is a pair of poles on the imaginary axis, giving a sinusoidal term in the response for the closed-loop system (with K_v = 0). Note that by the very definition of pole, the response at that frequency, which will be the resonant frequency of the system, will be infinity.
