Follett) Date: Mon Aug 22 11:21:38 2011 Subject: [ece4913] ECE 4913 - Test e-mail and Chapter 2 HW Message-ID: <4E5282AD.5030902@ece.msstate.edu> When you receive this e-mail, please reply to me immediately, so that I can tell if everyone is actually receiving e-mail. Also, for Chapter 2, you should work on the following problems: 3, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29, 32, and 35. Note that we have only covered the material for the first few problems, so you shouldn't expect to be able to work all of the problems just yet. Let me know if you run into difficulties on any of these, and we'll look at them in class as needed. You can also go to Team Xipiter's website at xipiter.org, and see several video clips of past entries in this competition, along with a good description of what is involved in being on this team. Finally, the actual competition, with results from last year is described on the AUVSI website: http://www.auvsi-seafarer.org/news-events/2011-competition.aspx Obviously this is not a required event, and I simply wanted to let everyone know about it as a possibility for participation in a multi-disciplinary student-led design team that goes to competition every year, in case you are interested. The team is recruiting for both the avionics (design, construction, and use of aviation electronics) team and the airframe (actual airplane design and construction) team for the upcoming competition, which will be held in June of 2012. If you have questions, please feel free to let me know, and I will do my best to answer (as one of the faculty advisors of the team) or I will put you in touch with the existing team members for further discussion. Thanks for your indulgence, Randy Follett (Faculty Co-Advisor for Team Xipiter) -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Randolph F.
