In particular, I have looked at your course schedules, and it appears that Monday and Wednesday afternoons are out based on a course that meets late on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are booked for classes and office hours from 12:30 till about 3:00. Fridays afternoons are booked on the 1st and 2nd Friday of each month. So, it appears that we could possibly meet first thing on Tuesday or Thursday morning (8:00 a.m.), on Monday or Wednesday from noon till 3:00, or on Friday afternoons (on available weeks) at any time after noon. Please reply to me and indicate your preference for the meeting time. Also, indicate any other work hours that do not show up in your course schedule if they impact the available lab meeting times. Unfortunately, it was not on my calendar, and I forgot about it when scheduling lab this afternoon. So, we will need to postpone the first lab meeting till next week. I will leave it up to you as to whether we continue with the plan to cancel Friday's class this week, or go ahead and meet this week and cancel it next week. We will discuss in class, and I will make the final decision once I hear from everyone. This is a valid plot, of course, but using the procedure that you did, you don't have data for that plot. (It would have required the use of a variable strobe, which you had available in the form of the led and function generator, to measure speed for various input voltages.) This plot should essentially be a straight line, with slope K_g, which is how you calculate speed based on tachogenerator voltage. Sorry for the confusion.
