Welcome to the website of "Implantable and Body-Centric Antennas Research and Education Laboratory - ICARE". Our research laboratory is located in Starkville, Mississippi and operates as part of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University. Our primary research area is applied electromagnetics. In particular, we are interested in application of electromagnetics to medicine including implantable and body-centric antennas for continuous monitoring of physiological parameters, early cancer detection using microwaves, microwave and RF antennas for hyperthermia and ablation treatment of cancer. We have ongoing projects supported by both government agencies and private industry. The detailed description of our research activities are given under research section.
