The Institute for Signal and Information Processing is located on campus at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Simrall engineering building. Click here for directions to the Mississippi State University campus. Our campus is located in northeastern Mississippi (a colleague once described our centrally located campus as being "centrally located in the middle of nowhere, three hours in any direction from somewhere"). We are, in fact, two to three hours from several major cities (Birmingham, Jackson, and Memphis), and 20 minutes west of Golden Triangle Regional Airport. When booking airline tickets, use Columbus, Mississippi as your destination. If you travel from another airport, here are directions to the north edge of campus from the following airports: Memphis airport, Jackson airport, and Birmingham airport. Directions from Golden Triangle Regional Airport (GTR) are fairly easy to follow. Turn left as you exit the expressway. Travel three miles until you come to Rt. 82. Take Rt. 82 west to Starkville (about 14 miles). Exit the Rt. 82 to following the signs for Mississippi State University on Rt 182 (old 82) west. Travel to the first stoplight (about 1.5 miles) and turn left on to campus on Mississippi Blvd. Make a left on Barr Ave. Make a right at the T junction to head toward the near stoplight. Make a right at the stoplight onto Lee Blvd. Make a left on Hardy Blvd. The Simrall ECE building is located on the left. The closest parking is at the rear of the building. Make a left at the next stop sign to reach the lot.
