Abstract
black fading line

The abstract of your paper is important because it is the first explanation of your research that a reader will see. It must be concise, and many times it must be a specific length. Essentially, it is a brief summary of the research which is described in detail in the body of the document.

Most conference papers require an abstract that is not indented. Sometimes, the font must be different from the body of the text, or it must be italicized. In such a case, we will use a formatting style like IES Abstract. If there is no such requirement for the abstract, however, we can use IES First Paragraph as the style. This will make the abstract look just like the body of the paper, except that it will not be indented.
