• (05/15/04) ISIP Moves to CAVS: After 10 years in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, ISIP joins a major new research facility on campus.
  
  
• (02/08/04) Prototype System v5.15: The major changes in this release include runtime improvements in the Baum-Welch trainer and a number of bug fixes. These changes do not significantly change performance or runtime. Thanks to a number of developers including Jon C. Russo, Toma. Rotovnik, and Emile Kok.
  
  
• (12/15/03) Pattern Recognition: v5.0 of our pattern recognition applet which contains our support vector machine (SVM) and relevance vector machine (RVM) technology.
  
  
• (08/15/03) NIST SPHERE: a version of the NIST SPHERE 2.6a that compiles under RedHat Linux 9.0 as well as all the standard platforms supported by NIST.
  
  
• (08/09/03) Crazy Joe's: The ISIP public domain speech recognition system was featured recently on a major US television shopping channel.
  
  
• (06/27/03) Signal To Noise Ratio: A minor update to our reference implementation of SNR calculations for speech files. The code should compile on most recent releases of g++. It has been tested for g++ v3.2.1.
  
  
• (06/10/03) Echo Canceller: A minor release (v2.6.1) of our popular echo canceller that includes updated examples and documentation. Audio data is now distributed in an Intel byte format. No changes were made to the software.
  
  
• (05/15/03) Production System: A new release (r00_n11) of our C++ speech recognition toolkit. See our download page, our monthly tutorial, or our on-line tutorial for more information about the contents of this release.
  
  
• (01/26/03) Prototype System v5.14: This release contains two small changes: (1) the code builds properly under gcc 3.2.1, and (2) we have added the option to output the zeroth cepstral coefficient in the extract_feature utility (important for some interoperability experiments).
  
  
• (01/15/03) Production System: We have determined that this release compiles cleanly with gcc v3.2.1. This was tested on Solaris x86 and Linux (Rehat v8.0).
  
  
• (01/07/03) Production System: The long-awaited release (r00_n10) of our C++ speech recognition toolkit. See our download page, our monthly tutorial, or our on-line tutorial for more information about the contents of this release.
