J.W. "j-omega" Bruce (Visit Dr.Bruce's official homepage here) is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering and educator extraordinaire in the James Worth Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University.
Family history
The Bruce clan originated from the name of Sir Robert de Brus, a Norman knight, who escorted William The Conqueror to England in 1066.

Speculation
It is narrowly (as opposed to widely) believed that Dr. Bruce (initials JWB) is the long-lost half of James Worth Bagley (initials JWB) and is a walking essence of engineering. Together with the essence of pure awesome, Dr. Robert B. Reese, he becomes the galactic hero "j-omega" and bebops his way into the hearts of student engineers.
