Robert B. "Bebop Bob" Reese (official homepage link) is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering (ECE) in the James Worth Bagley College of Engineering at Mississippi State University.
Also known as "Dr. Reese" to most students, Bebop Bob is an active contributor to ECE course syllabi and material. He currently teaches Introduction to VLSI and Senior Design. Former Bebop-Bob courses include ECE3724 Microprocessors and ECE3714 Digital Devices.
Bebop Bob is happily married to Donna Reese, Associate Dean of Engineering.
Bebop Bob also likes running and wrestling alligators.

Also, Dr. Reese served the Imperial Army during the Battle of Hoth as an Imperial AT-AT. - A Long, Long Time Ago - Served as an Imperial AT-AT.
- 1794 - Invented the cotton gin.
- 1941 - Robert B. "Bebop Bob" Reese was born.
- 1942 to 1961 - Dr. Reese's "Lumberjack Years."
- 1961 - Invented the PIC microcontroller but kept it secret, because he felt that the world had not the wisdom to cope with his invention.
- 1975 - Unveiled first PIC - the PIC1650.
- 1975 to 2006 - During this period, Dr. Reese's research output doubled that of IBM and Bell Labs combined.
