Marcie White, Starkville, wins the grandmasters female category in 1:44:45.
She also hold the masters female record of 1:43:15
Melody Morgan, of Pontotoc, anchored the winning relay team (1:45:40).
Tommy Cobb, one of the sponsors (Starkville Clinic for Women),
crosses the line with a time of 1:46:23.
The last runner, John Pell, Memphis, TN,
draws wild appause as he nears the finish.
And the celebration continues.
Courtney Watkins, Atlanta, GA, broke the overall female record
by over six minutes with a time of 1:28:26.
