ECE Faculty Member Recognized for Associate Editor Role

February 8, 2023

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Assistant Professor Dr. Xin Fang was recently recognized for his ongoing commitment and dedication to excellence in publishing with his work with IEEE.

Fang was selected as an “Outstanding Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, 2022.”

He has been an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy since January 2022, so his recognition was for the impact during his first year as associate editor. Prior to his work as associate editor, Fang received Outstanding Reviewers recognition from the journal in 2017, 2019 and 2021.

Fang said he appreciated the editor recognizing his dedication, stating, “Although editorial work is voluntary, it is still seen by others and well recognized. This recognition encourages me to volunteer in the future for other related journals.”

“Being an associate editor of a prestigious journal like IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy can help me directly know the latest research in the renewable energy area,” he added. “Through this editorial service, I met many fantastic researchers from around the world.”

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, and more information on IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy may be found online.
